Three years after college, we were introduced through a mutual friend after Evan randomly ran into her in Denver. It was a girl Evan went to high school with and Stephanie went to college with. She set us up and three days later we went on a fully blind date becuase Evan didn't have social media.

What was planned as a quick meet up for drinks turned into a four hour first date. We quickly began to see more and more of each other, then started going on trips together, then moved in together, and finally got a dog together. 

 

Stephanie had no idea our proposal was happening when it did. Under the cover of a last minute, casual trip up to Vail with two friends, we left our Airbnb in a rush to make a 5pm dinner reservation. As we passed through Arrabelle Square, our friends faked a phone call and we walked across the bridge by the ski lift to take a selfie. After fumbling over a speech that actually had been well prepared and well rehearsed, Evan proposed. As Stephanie turned around she saw a photographer snapping pictures and our families who were hiding in Arrabelle Square to celebrate.
